If your roof is leaking and you have wooden floors then it will definitely ruin your floor. It will also cause water damage to your carpet and anything else in the room. The water leaking from the roof can form a puddle or absorb into the carpet. A floor in contact with water for too long will rot and walking on it can be dangerous.
